Who We Serve

We aim to empower and support vulnerable children, youth with disabilities, and marginalized women and girls through impactful programs and initiatives.

Vulnerable Children

We meet vulnerable children in schools, churches, mosques, or even in our neighborhoods. Through community leaders, we support them in three impactful ways:

  • Respond to Needs: Provide food, clothes, and scholastic materials through donations.
  • Make a Connection: Build deeper relationships, facilitate opportunities, and create meaningful networks for children and their families.
  • Support Meaningfully: Donate funds or materials where other support isn't possible.

Youth and Children with Disabilities

15% of the world's population has some form of disability, including 240 million children. S4F emphasizes inclusion by working with schools and communities to ensure their participation in social activities, education, and work.

  • Raise awareness of disability as a human rights issue.
  • Advocate for inclusion in education, workplaces, and social activities.
  • Support education and rehabilitation programs.

Marginalized Women and Girls

Our "Binti Dar es Salaam" project supports girls abandoned due to mental health conditions, imprisonment, neglect, or abuse. We facilitate:

  • Vocational training and entrepreneurial skills for small businesses.
  • Sexual and reproductive health education and services.
  • Menstrual health education and sanitary pad distribution.
  • Counseling and rehabilitation at Vikututi Rehabilitation Village.

What Guides Us

In Tanzania, The National Costed Plan of Action (NCPAII) for Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) was developed to guide the implementation of actions and policies during 2013-2017 that aim to enhance the wellbeing of MVC. NCPAII aimed to prevent and reduce health and social risks for MVCs, and protect the rights of MVCs.

We work towards a common goal in alignment with International and national policies, conventions and guidelines such as:
